Bell HomeHub 1000

1st June 2022

What a pile of crap.

Bridge mode turns off the NAT in the HomeHub router and the device acts like a DSL modem. The wifi may also be off when in Bridge mode. Bridge Mode is used when you want to use your own firewall, and have it get a public IP instead of a NATed IP.

To put the HomeHub into bridge mode you can hold down the brightness button on the front and the reset button on the side for 20 seconds. you will know the device is in bridge mode because the power and WAN lights will be red/Purple.

Make sure you know your PPPoE username and password before you enter bridge mode as this info isn’t retrieveable from the Bell HomeHub GUI interface.
