vCenter lost its brains

7th March 2025

Due to losing an iScsi NAS Lun. there was 1 guest VM on this LUN. For whatever reason vCenter became unresponsive until services were restarted. still took 20min to start responding correctly.

Enable putty in the services section

use putty to login

[root@localhost:~] /etc/init.d/hostd restart
hostd stopped.
hostd started.
[root@localhost:~] /etc/init.d/vpxa restart
vpxa stopped.
vpxa started.
