Micro$oft will not make software updates after that date.  It will quickly accumulate security holes and every bad guy will be targeting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take inventory and budget for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If it&#8217;s a personal Workstation your options are; Upgrade to a newer version of Windows, which will cost about $100,  or replace that computer with something from this decade for a few hundred $, or you could install Linux Mint for free.  This is a good option if you just use the PC for browsing the internet and Email.
