It will send you an email to proceed so a fake mail account won&#8217;t work.  Find the email and click the link.  Fill out the form and sign into the account instantly.  easy stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2:<br>You should now have an empty Wasabi Dashboard with no Buckets so click the big green button in the top right that says &#8220;create Bucket&#8221;   name your bucket the name of the item you are going to backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"813\" height=\"327\" src=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1.png 813w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1-300x121.png 300w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-1-768x309.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 813px) 100vw, 813px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>you will be asked for a region name, choose whatever is closest to you.  hit the copy-to-clipboard icon to copy the region name as we will need that info<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"719\" height=\"733\" src=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2.png 719w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2-294x300.png 294w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>pate that region name into notepad, we are going to gather some more info<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Wasabi left menu pane, click <strong>Access Keys<\/strong> it is currently empty so click <strong>Create Access Keys<\/strong> in the top right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your access key is auto-created.  Click <strong>Show Secret Key<\/strong> and then copy both the Access key and Secret key to your notepad<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open Synology web interface and from the <strong>Package Center<\/strong> make sure <strong>Hyper Backup<\/strong> is installed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"890\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-3.png 890w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-3-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-3-768x362.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 890px) 100vw, 890px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the Main Menu (top left, looks like the Windows icon) open the <strong>Hyper Backup<\/strong> app<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>for <strong>Backup Destination<\/strong> choose <strong>S3 Storage<\/strong> and click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2415\" srcset=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-5.png 683w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-5-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill in the fields from the notepad we made in Step 2.  If you filled in Server Address, Access Key and Secret Key correctly you will be able to pull down Bucket Name and choose your bucket from Step1. I&#8217;ll recommend choosing Hyper Backup but the others are up to you. Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2418\" srcset=\"https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-8.png 680w, https:\/\/increasec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-8-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enable Backup Rotation, Smart Recycle keeps more recent backups and still a few older backups.  The Max versions; lower this to keep the amount of storage you are using in check.  Pay attention to the Oldest backup date on the bottom left.
